Clear Channel taxis promote O2 basketball

LONDON - Clear Channel Outdoor's Taxi Media fleet will be driving around London advertising the NBA tonight, to mark the arrival of basketball at the O2 Arena.

Free rides within Tube Zones 1 and 2 will be on offer for people who spot the blue and white taxis ahead of the exhibition match between the Boston Celtics and the Minnesota Timberwolves this evening.

The match is part of the NBA Europe Live Tour and the Taxi Media promotion will be the focal point of the promotional activity before the match.

Andrew Ager, creative director at PitchPR, who has been promoting the event in conjunction with NBA, said the use of taxis in the campaign allowed the NBA to “position itself at the heart of London”.

Yesterday (Tuesday) London Mayor Ken Livingstone was present at the campaign's launch, with NBA Commissioner David Stern and some of the team's key players.
