LONDON - Airport agency PSI Advertising, part of Posterscope Worldwide, has appointed former CNBC executive Liz Jones as managing director.

Jones, vice-president and European sales director at business news broadcaster CNBC Europe, is to join PSI soon, reporting to global chief executive Annie Rickard.

Jones has been brought in to help PSI tap into the growing airport audience, particularly as airports embrace new digital advertising formats. By 2010, global airline passengers will pass the five billion mark, hitting nine billion by 2025, according to the Airports Council International.

Meanwhile, PSI chairman Neil Alldritt has signalled his intention to leave the agency later this year.

He said: “Growing PSI from a small survivor to a market leader was an enormous challenge. Becoming part of Posterscope was another ambition realised. I will be helping Liz shift PSI up another gear and then I will take some time off.”
PSI was bought by Posterscope Worldwide in 2003.
